Although I have no formal training I have always been artistic with a flair for design art and needlework so when I couldn't find any suitable dolls to inhabit my own dolls houses it seemed only natural to make one myself ! All those childhood years of dressing my daisy dolls and making little characters from plasticene hadn't been wasted !
I embarked
on my first doll with great enthusiasm ! Nothing
could stop me and each
doll was an improvement on the last. Encouraged
by friends I sold my first doll on the auction
site Ebay and never looked back
I am constantly learning and improving my skills
and delighting in every step of the journey.
In November 2009 I gained Artisan Status with I.G.M.A ( International Guild of Miniature Artisans ) for my excellence in Figures.
I use polymer clay to make my miniature art dolls, a material I am very comfortable with , sculpting has always came easily to me. I love the challenge of creating a portrait doll and although I aim for realism in my work I essentially create posable dolls and like to call them Art Dolls.
WHERE IT ALL HAPPENS
I work from my garden studio or as I prefer to call it "The Shed" !
You can take a peek at my shed with this gallery of pics taken on a very tidy day, usually the place is a little more "comfortable" with fabrics and books strewn around for my cats to climb over.
You can keep up to date with my latest work and current ebay auctions by visiting the website regularly or simply by joining my mailing list.

I am a proud member of AIM (Artisans in Miniature), IGMA ( The International Guild of Miniature Artisans)
The British Toymakers Guild
CDHM (custom dolls house miniatures) and the OOAK guild
